“What part of your mind regulates tissue healing?”

Of course, when you learn a new language, your conscious-thinking mind is required. Same is true when you drive in heavy traffic or walk over slippery ice.

But, what about when your body is injured or needs some physical recovery time?

You may know that your autonomic nervous system is regulating your body’s healing mechanisms, but have you wondered what part of your mind (aka intelligence) is regulating this system?

Unfortunately, our culture tends to overvalue our conscious-thinking mind, leaving our subconscious-automatic mind in the shadows. Growing up, our teachers focused on our thinking intelligence, measuring it with tests, papers, and projects. And, as adults, we continue to show off our smartness with facts and figures.

But, for the sake of your best physical healing, we must give respect and credit to your subconscious-automatic mind —- a deeper intelligence driven by your long-standing beliefs, emotions, and habits.

Appreciate you, subconscious mind!
