Disability: A State of Mind Not Body

For over 30 years, I have worked with people of all ages with various physical injuries and conditions.

Some people regain their “normal” life, but others do not … like after an amputation or spinal cord injury or stroke or head injury.

Over time, the mind and body heal and adjust, and the person chooses how to move forward.

I applaud those who move forward with resilience and passion, who redefine their “normal,” who refuse to wear the “disability” label.
