When your knee hurts…

At some point, your knee(s) will hurt. Knees are vulnerable joints.

Tendinitis - Bursitis - Arthritis - Sprains - Strains

Regardless of why, here are a few tips for optimal healing…from a mind-body-spirit physical therapist.

  • If your knee needs rest or immobilization, keep exercising…but choose alternative ways until your knee is ready.

  • Avoid or minimize pain meds so you can feel the true limits of your healing tissues.

  • Believe in your knee’s desire and ability to heal.

  • Before getting up in the morning, spend 5 minutes imagining a healing energy within and around your knee.

  • Throughout your day, say to yourself, “My knee is healing now.”

You must involve all of you - mind, body, and spirit - if you want more than mediocre results.

When your knee hurts…remember healing is much more than just physical.
