Meditation or Self-Hypnosis?
The confusion is understandable…many similarities yet one - very important - difference! Here is brief comparison.
Similarities:
From the outside-looking-in, both appear to be the same practice. Most often, a person sits quietly with eyes closed.
For both, a focused state of mind is desirable. An inward focus is common, yet an outward focus is also effective.
Both intend to downshift from a conscious level of thinking to a subconscious level of awareness and being.
Both may benefit a person’s physical and mental well-being.
THE BIG DIFFERENCE: Self-hypnosis is always goal oriented. Some people swap “intention” for “goal,” but it’s whatever you want to improve in your life.
Although I fully appreciate the value of meditation, I prefer self-hypnosis since physical recovery always strives for physical improvements.
Let’s keep talking…
