Be the Outlier!!!

Recently, one of my patients asked me about his potential to regain his regular physical abilities. He had already asked the same question to others on his medical team. They had responded with a prognosis based on averages which left him feeling defeated, less motivated to continue his recovery.

I encouraged him to “be the outlier,” to be one of the few who excel past the majority, to expect more and to achieve more.

According to basic stats, the average recovery on a bell curve shifts to the right as more outliers push toward better and better outcomes. So, outliers not only help themselves but also the entire recovery group.

It’s all about having higher expectations and believing in extraordinary possibilities.

For sure, it’s a mind-thing…!!!
